On our trip through this list of Pagan Parenting tips, we come to these words: Encourage your children to read.

These are just a part of what we should do as parents, we should be their first educator. Our school system as a whole has failed our kids, just check the news and see. Now I am not saying that we should all homeschool our children. That just won’t work for some of us or our kids. But what I am saying is that we need to take an active role in our children’s life.

We should instill them a sense of curiosity about the world around us. We should help them to be eager to learn and to read.

This can be done by showing that interest ourselves. I know I keep talking about us setting an example but it is important that we be the best example that we can be.
